Newham College have been working very closely with Law Lane Solicitors to facilitate work experience students within their practice. Over the past 12 months Law Lane supported 4 of our business students ranging from Entry Level 3 to Level 3 with students supporting in areas such as administration, conveyancing, and immigration. The placements provided by Law Lane have allowed local employers to support local skills needs and shape the next generation of talent. The experience learners have gained from Law Lane have been invaluable and enabled them to grow in confidence, develop soft skills for employability whilst making a meaningful contribution to the workplace.
Students have commented on what an enjoyable time they have had and how welcoming staff have been in providing them with a good experience.
No matter how busy Law Lane get they always make time to support our learners and give back to the community.

We have had the support of Law Lane for almost a year now. They are always very keen to help support our learners. During the last 12 months, three of our traineeship learners have completed a work experience placement at the firm and we’re sure many more will in the future.
Law Lane have helped by providing interview experience, training, and mentoring. They also give our learners valuable feedback on completing a placement.
Some of our traineeship learners have career aspirations in the law sector and with the support of Law Lane they can experience working life in a real-world setting.

In this time, Law Lane Solicitors have offered 25 work experience placements to young people from local schools/colleges, and have also committed to hosting another 13 students between now and end of July 2023. This has been vital in supporting young people and enabling them better prepare them for the ‘world of work’ and the start of their own career journeys.
We are extremely appreciative of the support we have received from the team at Lane Lane Solicitors, and their support has benefitted many young people and will continue to do so with the upcoming placements planned.
